Prc Global Transition

Dec. 08, 2008

PRC has become a part of the global transition into a clean energy future by joining with the Carbonfund organization to reduce our carbon footprint. A carbon footprint is a "measure of the impact that human activities have on the environment in terms of the amount of greenhouse gases produced, measured in units of carbon dioxide." Carbon offsets are financial instruments representing a reduction in greenhouse gas and gas reduction projects. Carbon offsets are measured in metric tons of carbon dioxide-equivalent (CO2e). One carbon offset represents the reduction of one metric ton of carbon dioxide, or its equivalent in other greenhouse gases. PRC has pledged to offset 35 tons of CO2!

Through sensible energy reductions combined with cost-effective carbon offsets to eliminate our overall carbon footprint PRC can begin to take immediate action in the fight against global warming.  As voluntary offsets become more popular among private individuals, companies, and organizations, like PRC, investment in clean technologies, clean energy and reforestation projects are sure to advance around the world.

Carbonfund.org supports renewable energy, energy efficiency and reforestation projects globally that reduce carbon dioxide emissions and the threat of climate change.
